MEET ADAM

Adam Hardaker is a Liverpool author who writes about people - the complicated, ordinary, funny, flawed people whose stories don't always get told.

From football terraces and forgotten communities to social care, family, loss and the darker corners of fictional places, his books may travel into very different worlds, but they share the same starting point: people matter.

Before becoming an author, Adam spent nearly three decades working in health and social care, particularly alongside people with learning disabilities and autism. That experience - and a lifetime shaped by Liverpool, family and football - runs through the way he sees characters and tells their stories.

Plenty of control, not enough cutting edge, midfield not quite at its best… then Dibling, George, Pacheco and Momiki come on and suddenly there’s pace, directness and actual threat.
